Answers to frequently asked questions about laser treatments
+ - What does a laser session entail?
Prior to all laser treatments, an appointment is required to determine the dermal issues. This meeting with Dr Simon Sebbah is a precise diagnosis to define the appropriate protocol and treatment(s) to apply.
According to the type of laser, the treatment area may undergo a local anesthesia. During the session, the patient may experience a burning sensation, tingling, or a snapping like an elastic against the skin.
This treatment requires no formal recovery time.
+ - What are the contra-indications?
Laser treatments cannot be performed in the following cases:
- During a pregnancy
- People taking certain photosensitive medications
- Wounds on the treatment zone
- Herpes breakout on the treatment area
- Recent sun exposure (less than 1 month prior to the procedure)
+ - What are the side-effects?
After a laser treatment, redness and/or an edema may appear on the treatment area. Slight bleeding can also occur. These temporary effects disappear within 48 hrs.
We advise you not to expose yourself to any heat (sun, UV lamps, sauna or hammam) in the 2 weeks following the procedure.
